Spring and autumn are the sweet spots; summer is hot and wet.

Spring (April–May) and autumn (late September–November) have the mildest, driest weather and the best scenery. Summer (late June–August) is hot, humid and includes the monsoon (heavy rain, mainly July). Winter (December–February) is cold and dry, with skiing near Seoul. Plan around the Korean holidays Seollal and Chuseok, when transit and sites are packed and some businesses close — their dates move each year.
