Vegetarian & temple food
Buddhist temple cuisine avoids meat — useful as harm-reduction.
Korean Buddhist temple food (사찰음식, sachal eumsik) is fully vegetarian — no meat, fish or eggs (it also omits the five pungent vegetables). Dedicated vegetarian and vegan restaurants exist in Seoul, and apps like HappyCow help find them. Remember this is not kosher certification: shared kitchens, non-pareve seasonings and unsupervised preparation remain issues, so treat it as a way to avoid meat and shellfish rather than as a hechsher. For anything you rely on, confirm with the Chabad house.
