Jeju
Korea's volcanic holiday island — beaches, lava tubes, a central volcano and a slower pace. Good for nature and a break from the cities.
Getting there & around
From Seoul — flight — Fly from Gimpo Airport (subway lines 5, 9 + Gimpo Goldline) → arrive Jeju International Airport. About 1h10m; fares vary a lot (~₩20,000–70,000). One of the world's busiest routes, so flights are frequent.
From Incheon Airport — Either connect via Gimpo (AREX or bus from Incheon to Gimpo, ~40 min, then fly), or take one of the limited direct domestic flights — check schedules.
Getting around — There's no mainland-style train network — renting a car is easiest as sights are spread out; local buses cover main routes but take longer.
Without a car — If you aren't driving, the blue airport-express buses and sightseeing bus tours reach many major spots — slower and less flexible than a car, but workable.
Fares and times are approximate — check current schedules when you book.
